All consultations are made by appointment with our receptionists by telephone .

  General Practice

The regular physicians offer general medicine/family practice and their sub-specialties which include internal medicine, gastroenterology and surgery.


  Obstetrics and Gynecology

This service offers:
Office obstetrics including antenatal care programmes, genetic screening, amniocentesis, ultrasonography with video recording.
Office Gynecological procedures including HPV testing, colposcopy, LEEP procedures.

Inpatient care is provided by the Clinic obstetrician gynecologist at the following Hospitals.
  Aiiku Hospital, Hiroo.
  Seibo Hospital (The International Catholic Hospital)
  Sanno Clinic, Akasaka

Besides childbirth, the full range of surgical gynecological procedures including laparoscopy is provided.

  Specialty Consultants

Our 24 consultants cover almost all areas of medicine:
Cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, obstetrics & gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics (please see the web page of our orthopedist, http://www.k-kumano.com),  oto-rhino-laryngology, psychiatry, pulmonology, radiology, urology, etc.
A full range of radiological services including CT, MRI, PET scanning and ultrasonography is rapidly available by special arrangement with a radiological center.

  Medical Emergency

A patient who comes with an acute illness or emergency will be seen without an appointment. The patient will be seen by our nurses first, will be assessed and given preferential treatment by the doctor depending on the nature of the emergency.

The Clinic closes at 5:30pm Monday to Fridays and 1:00pm Saturdays.

  Physical Exams(Check-up)

Check-ups or physical examinations for personal, company or insurance purposes, and school physicals are performed. Special appointments are needed. please check-in directly with the receptionist on the 1st floor.  See appointments .

  Contract Service

We offer contracts with the Clinic to companies and individuals/families on an annual  basis.
A retainer fee is requested.
The service comprises free telephone consultations, free refills for prescriptions and preferential treatment as far as possible.
A part of the contract fee is credited to an annual physical examination at the Clinic.

  Travel Medicine

Medical advice and immunizations are available for international travellers.

  Immunizations (for infants and children)

The immunizations available at the clinic are the same as those used in Europe and USA. The childhood immunization schedules vary from country to country. We are able to follow a variety of schedules depending on patient preference/nationality. Please note that for children less than 6 years, a physician will perform the immunization and therefore an appointment is required.

  Paramedical Services

Tokyo Clinic Rehabilitation Office is located outside the Clinic providing a broad range of physiotherapy by a Japan and US licensed physiotherapist. Please refer to Physiotherapy for more details.

 Also chiropody is available on a weekly basis at the Clinic or at her own Clinic in Meguro.  Please see Chiropody for details.



  Dietician

Ms. Yumi Zbinden-Miura
Ms. Miura is a dietician educated in Switzerland. She will start seeing patients at the Clinic on the 4th Wednesday of the month, starting from June 24. She often will visit her clients at their house and teach them appropriate cooking. Her sessions will be 45 minutes and see patients between 9:00am and 13:00.   Handling of Clinical Data
To maintain confidentiality the results of health checks, school physicals and other medical certificates are normally sent to the home address.
If you wish to have the results sent elsewhere please state this to the physician and the receptionist. Results of clinical tests are only given out by a physician.

Patient records are only retained for 5 years after the patient was last seen.
Patients may request copies of their files.  Copies of adult's records are only given to that person unless prior permission has been obtained.



  BLS
Clinic staff and doctors have recently completed the Basic Life Support Course of the American Heart Association. This is designed to offer emergency care to a patient, adult or child, who is unconscious, not breathing and may not have a pulse and also to a patient who is choking. The course includes use of a automated cardiac defibrillator, which is also available at our Clinic.
All participants did well and passed the written and practical exams.
